-is a total photography noob-

hey guieeez? Anybody know a little bit about digital photography that might have the patience to help me? :( I've only just started trying to take pictures, and I don't really know what I'm doing, but when I point the camera I know the result I'm trying to get... But I never seem to get it just right. o.O

Even in the best light, and even if the photo's not blurry, I'm getting what looks like bad JPG compression? :hmm: And the colours seem kind of...muddy close up? ..... Anybody have any suggestions for what could be wrong? Uhhh...:XD:

...it'd probably help if I knew what any of the photography terms meant... :slow: I've been trying to teach myself but...:slow:
